“Please join us, Mr and Mrs Rogers, for a fun filled weekend at our secluded home on Indian Island off the Devon coast. You will join seven other specially selected guests for two days of challenging intrigue and bone chilling mystery! The weekend promises such unexpected shock, and such delightful terror, and you simply don’t dare to miss it! All arrangements have been made for your transport, comfort and wellbeing. You don’t want to be caught dead by not being there now, do you???”
Stevensville Playhouse is pleased to present “And Then There Were None”, by Dame Agatha Christie. The play was originally presented as “Ten Little Indians”, in 1943. Join us for an evening of mystery and murder as Mr and Mrs Rogers’ guests try to figure out the identity of the killer among them, without becoming a victim themselves.

Share this timeless and enduring classic about the March sisters’ journey from childhood to maturity during the American Civil War. Audiences of all generations will enjoy acquainting — or reacquainting — themselves with the sisters: Meg, the eldest; Jo, the high-spirited tomboy; Amy, the self-centered beauty; and gentle Beth, as well as their beloved Marmee and Father. Together the March family learns to endure both good times and bad as they share the joys and pains of growing up. This adaptation skillfully compresses the novel while still including milestones such as Meg’s declaration of independence from the tyranny of Aunt March, Amy’s trip to Europe, and even Beth’s death. The play ends with Jo’s realization of her life’s work — the publication of her first novel. Interlaced with warmth, family loyalty, and traditional values, all these important events provide us with a better understanding of our own lives. Penned by Louisa May Alcott 140 years ago, this much-loved classic tale’s message is still relevant for audiences today.

“A Rock Sails By” by Sean Grennan

Astrophysicist Dr. Lynn Cummings has always believed in science over faith in the unknown.
But now that her life is changing, the certainty that was once a source of comfort has become
a source of emptiness. When an unidentified flying object is sighted heading toward Earth,
she grants an interview to a journalist who misquotes her. With her credibility on the line, she
invites him to witness the object as it comes closest to the Earth with her. Dr. Cummings
hopes it will pass without incident, but there is no telling what she will discover beyond the
stars.

“Eureka Day” by Jonathan Spector

California has a Board of Directors that values inclusion above all else—that is, until an
outbreak of mumps threatens the Eureka community. Facts become subjective and every
solution divisive, leaving the school’s leadership to confront the central question of our time:
How do you build consensus when no one can agree on truth?

The first summer blockbuster movie is being filmed—but no one working on the film would
know it. Dive deep into the tumultuous, murky waters of the making of a major motion picture
with testy, feuding costars, unpredictable weather, and a shark prop whose constant
breakdowns are looking like an omen for the future of the movie. In this comedy co-written by
Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon, the short tempers of Jaws stars Robert Shaw (father of co-writer
Ian), Richard Dreyfuss, and Roy Scheider take center stage as they bond, argue, drink,
gamble, and pray for an end to the shoot, not knowing it will change their lives forever.

“Every Little Crook and Nanny” by Pat Cook
~ Auditions: November 2, 2026 at 7:00pm ~

Lillie Scones is a sweet, retired nanny who runs a boarding house with one resident and a “cat the size of the Louisiana Purchase.” Her two friends, Jocelyn and Carmella, help to pass the time by listening to music and gossiping. Then Stuart, an old charge of hers, rents a room. Lillie is tickled to have him around again, not knowing he is planning on robbing the bank on the corner. Stuart’s mind may not be totally on the bank job, however, when he meets Betty. However, when Stuart finds out that Betty is about to graduate from an academy on the very night they plan to rob the bank, the perfect alibi presents itself – why not go to the graduation, be seen there, sneak out and rob the bank. Perfect, thinks Little Pat, Stuart’s wise-cracking sidekick. Unfortunately for the two would-be crooks the graduation is at a police academy. Throw in a chief of police, a suspicious fiancé and a half-pint brat with an “Al Capone do-it- yourself tool kit,” and nobody knows what will happen next. In the spirit of Frank Capra, this tale of a bank heist and three retired nannies has all the classic comedy twists and surprises fit for any audiences.
